Marcus Foster

London born and raised, 26-year-old Marcus Foster describes his music as “Gospel, Blues, Funk, Folk, and Rock’n’Roll.” Few writers finish a review of his work without comparisons to Foster’s personal heroes of Tom Waits or Bob Dylan. The “old soul” has been playing piano since the age of six, and was taking to the West London dive bar stages alongside seasoned veterans by the tender age of 14. However, Foster’s talent reaches far beyond the music realm. He is also an accomplished sculptor and holds a master’s degree in sculpture from The Royal College of Art.

Marcus will be supporting Michael Kiwanuka on select September dates of his USA Fall tour followed by supporting fellow Communion label mate Ben Howard on his US tour. He has been spending the summer playing shows and festivals across the UK and Europe. This spring, Foster completed a full 21-city US tour including both his national television debut on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon and his first appearance at renowned music and media festival, South By Southwest. His debut full-length album “Nameless Path” is available on Polydor Ltd. (UK). Foster is currently attached to UK Indie label, The Big Ship. His first release on The Big Ship was an exclusive 5 track limited edition EP (1000 copies) only available on the US tour.  We at Music Marcus Foster (MMF), have a few available for those who missed out. Visit our store while we still have them. Look for the UK release on October 22.  It will consist of tracks from the US release plus one more track and all new artwork.
